Cast:
Two “everyman” clowns
The Skit
One person walks into a bank, where a teller is already behind his counter. All he wants to do is cash a check.
“Certainly, sir. Can you identify yourself?”
The first clown pulls a small mirror out of this pocket, looks at himself, and says, “Yes, that’s me!”
Undeterred, the teller asks if he has an account with the bank? No, he does not. Well, the teller replies, you can’t cash a check at a strange bank! You need to have an account here.
“Can I use this check to open an account?”
Teller: Certainly, sir! (does paperwork — hopefully with paper flying! It’s a clown skit, after all. If you have a “rubber” check or bill, stretch it for the audience — “Seems to be okay …”). There you go, sir. Here’s your account book.
Clown: Close it and give me my money!
[Teller turns to the audience & does a take]
