Introductions

Kim and Craig are trying to set up their mother for a date with Tony Rivera. He’s handsome, suave, sophisticated … And unknown to the kids, a jewel thief! He wants to go on a date with Lucy as a swank party, more as disguise than anything else. But, while she’s busy cleaning house, he shows up for an appointment with Kim & Craig — a little early. And grungy Lucy’s very embarrassed about her appearance, to the point of pretending to be the maid! But, Tony’s very flattering, and he invites the lovely widow to the party.

At the Party

At the party, it’s an elegant affair, with everyone having a good time. Until Tony & his accomplice Harvey steal an expensive diamond bracelet! And they’re going to hide it in the marinara sauce! And poor Harry’s accused of the theft by the hostess, because he has “beady little eyes”!

Conclusion

The conclusion is quite funny! Lucy has proof that Tony has hidden the stolen jewelry in the sauce, and she’s letting Harry know. Just as Tony and Harvey sneak up behind them! The crooks offer to let them join the gang, but when they refuse, the crooks plan on taking them for a little ride …

But Lucy’s nothing if not resourceful, and she quickly walks around the room, with Tony chasing her — and eventually catching her. Then, she pushes Tony back into a suit of armor, and its mace knocks him unconscious! Agatha’s going to blame Harry for being the thief, since he”s holding the evidence, but Lucy identified Tony as the real thief. And, knocks him unconscious again with a champagne bottle!
