1. Introduction
Hello, and welcome to the weekly Clown-Ministry mailing list. This is just a short note to let everyone who’s interested know about new additions to the site, and related information.
First, Merry Christmas to everyone! Happy Birthday Jesus!
Second, a welcome to all of the new subscribers from around the world! I’d like to take a moment to thank everyone new and old for taking time out of their days to visit the site, and hope that you all find something worthwhile. I appreciate your time, and hope to bring information that you find useful, and helpful in your ministry. Thirdly, a quick request – when you have general questions on clowning, please post them in the Forums first – it enables you to tap into the power of a (surprisingly large) clown community. Fourth, if you feel so led, feel free to donate to help with Clown-Ministry.com (this doesn’t necessarily mean contributing money, by the way — if you have an original clown skit or article, please send it to this email address – I’m always looking for new content). But if you *want* to throw money my way, who am I to complain? :o) Feel free to use the donation link on ‘most every page at http://www.clown-ministry.com/.
2. New skits on-line
Steward “ship” – a contributed skit, useful for Stewardship Sunday. Always feel free to contribute your own skits & articles & I’ll be glad to post them, if I can. (/skits/)
3. New Articles
Added a biography of Lou Costello, and am currently working on one for Bud Abbott, as well as the text to their famous “Who’s on First?” routine. Also added a review of “March of the Wooden Soldiers” by Laurel and Hardy (a wonderful holiday film, or children’s film), review of The Marx Brothers Silver Screen Collection – a 6 DVD set of the Marx Brothers first 5 films (The Cocoanuts, Animal Crackers, Monkey Business, Horse Feathers, and Duck Soup). All available from the clown-ministry.com home page (http://www.clown-ministry.com/)
4. Questions
Check the Forums 🙂
5. Web Site of the Week
A nice Christmas present if you’re a fan of Abbott & Costello, as well as old-time radio comedy – http://www.radiolovers.com/
6. Outroduction
This is a weekly e-mailing from http://www.clown-ministry.com/ — if you received this by mistake, or you just don’t want to receive it any more then simply reply to this message with ‘unsubscribe’ as the subject of your message, and I’ll gladly remove you from any future mailings. As always, feel free to submit your own skits, articles, ideas for articles, etc.
Thanks for listening, and bump a nose!
Tom Raymond
