Read the introduction I wrote – a very funny clown skit, similar to the Kentucky Mom’s letter to her son sketch. From The Red Skelton Hour episode, “Marriage Is Made in Heaven and Las Vegas” – where Milton Berle has written his own introduction for Red Skelton to read.
Milton Berle’s original introduction reads:
“So, ladies and gentlemen, I want you to meet a man among men. He’s truly out of place anywhere but the amusement world, he should be a success in any undertaking. Establishment of his record as a comedian who cares more for a laugh than anything else. I present Milton Berle.”
Of course, punctuation counts! So, when Red Skelton reads it:
“Ladies and gentlemen, I want you to meet a man … Among men, he is truly out of place.
You’re quite out of place anywhere but in show amusement world, he should be.
He should be a success in any undertaking established.
Of his record as a comedian. Who cares.
