Lucy Meets Bob Hope – When Bob Hope is going to appear at Ricky’s club, Lucy is afraid that he’s afraid of her … and so she goes to the baseball game to explain that he has nothing to fear. So she impersonates a hot dog vendor. Then, she causes Bob Hope to be hit on the head! Later, she tries to impersonate a baseball player in order to get near to him, but Ricky turns the tables on her … with Lucy having the last laugh, appearing in the show with Ricky and Bob Hope, where the trio perform Nobody Loves the Ump.

Ricky Ricardo (Desi Arnaz): [referring to the baseball farm for minor leaguers] How are things on the farm?
Lucy Ricardo (Lucille Ball): Well, the pig’s all right, but the cow died.


Ricky Ricardo (Desi Arnaz): (to Lucy) You stay out of this!
Lucy Ricardo (Lucille Ball): I didn’t say anything.
Bob Hope: You mean ‘the kiss of death’ can sing and dance?
