In short, In the Park is a funny, fast-paced comedy starring Charlie the Little Tramp. As the title suggests, Charlie is simply in the park, minding his own business, when another tramp tries to pick his pocket! But Charlie replies in kind, and frankly gets the better of the deal!
But the pickpocket’s not done yet! He steals a handbag from Leo’s girlfriend, sausages from a sausage seller — and gets in trouble with Charlie again.

Pretty nursemaid Edna Purviace is taking her charge to the park, reading her book — and spending time with her beau, Bud Jamison. But Charlie the Little Tramp either doesn’t know, or doesn’t care. And he tries to make time with Edna. And Bud shows Charlie his displeasure by kicking him in the posterior!

In the conclusion, things happen fast and furious. There’s a lot of action, as the various conflicts play out. The pickpocket stole Leona’s handbag, and sold it to Bud as a gift for Edna.
